Weather

Moldova is small, flat and continental, and the whole country has roughly the same year. Chișinău averages a daily maximum of 28 C in July and August and 1 C in January, and the north and south are within a degree or two of that. There is no mountain to escape to and no coast to cool things down, so summer is hot everywhere and winter is cold everywhere.

All three rows are 1991 to 2020 normals for the mean daily maximum and mean monthly rainfall, which makes this strip internally consistent in a way many are not. The three stations are within about two degrees of each other in every month, which is the honest summary of Moldovan geography.
