Weather
The Croatian coast works best in May, June, September and early October. The sea is warm enough to swim from June to the middle of October, the campsites are open, the roads move and the towns are not full. July and August are hot, expensive and crowded, and August is also when the camping ban is enforced hardest, so it is the worst month on every axis that matters to a van.

The year by region: how it feels, how warm, how wet
BestWorkableToo hotCold or wetTop figure: average daily high. Below it: average rainfall for the month.
Sea temperature lags the air by about two months. The Adriatic is around 18 °C in June and still around 24 °C in September, which is why September is the month regulars keep coming back for.
