There are no motorway tolls in the Netherlands and no vignette. A handful of tunnels charge, and one of them matters to a campervan: the Westerscheldetunnel in Zeeland became free on 30 December 2024 for vehicles under three metres high, and anything taller still pays, 18.20 euros for a motorhome under twelve metres long. The Kiltunnel near Dordrecht charges 5.00 euros in cash for a vehicle over 2.30 metres. That is the whole toll picture.

Zero emission zones, and why most campers are outside them
- 19 municipalities and Schiphol run one, most since 1 January 2025. Schiphol joined on 1 January 2026 and Arnhem on 1 June 2026. Nine more have decided on one or are studying it, Almere from 2028.
- The zones are for city logistics. They cover bestelauto's (N1) and vrachtauto's (N2 and N3). They do not apply to passenger cars, so a motorhome registered as an M1 passenger vehicle has access.
Milieuzones, the diesel ones
- These are older, separate zones and they apply only to diesel vehicles. Anything on another fuel drives in.
- Four cities run one for diesel cars and vans: Amsterdam, Arnhem, Den Haag and Utrecht.
Fuel, height and the things that stop a big van
- Diesel was 2.49 euros a litre on 14 September 2026 on the national pump price series. Motorway stations are the dearest. Unmanned stations off the main road are the cheapest.
- Height, width, length, axle load and total weight are all signed separately. Dyke roads, village bridges and polder lanes carry them, and they are the reason a route that looks fine on a map does not work.
