Weather
Serbia has a continental climate and a hot July and August. Belgrade's average daily maximum is 29 C in July and 30 C in August, and the south and east run warmer still: Niš averages 32 C in August and Negotin 31 C. A van without air conditioning is unpleasant on those afternoons, and the rivers and the shade are where everybody else already is.

The year by region: how it feels, how warm, how wet

Belgrade, Novi Sad, Zlatibor and Negotin are Republic Hydrometeorological Service normals for 1991 to 2020. The Niš row is a 2010 to 2024 average instead, because that is the only published series for the station, and it reads warmer than the others partly for that reason.
