Luxembourgish food is German portions cooked with French technique, and it is heavier than the weather usually justifies. The national dish is Judd mat Gaardebounen, smoked pork collar with broad beans. Bouneschlupp is green bean soup with potato and bacon. Gromperekichelcher, fried potato cakes, are what you eat standing up at a market or a fair.
