Weather
Poland has one season for van life and it runs from May to September. This is a continental climate, so the year is not a gentle slope: winter sits at or below freezing for months and July is warm rather than hot, with average daily highs of 23 °C on the coast and 25 °C in Kraków. There is no Polish equivalent of a warm winter coast, which is the single biggest difference from southern Europe.

The year by region: how it feels, how warm, how wet
BestWorkableToo hotCold or wetTop figure: average daily high. Below it: average rainfall for the month.
Every row is the mean daily maximum and the average monthly rainfall from the 1991 to 2020 normals for the station named beside it. The Zakopane row is a valley station at 855 metres, and the peaks above it are a different world again: snow lies into May and the marked trails above the treeline are a mountaineering proposition outside high summer.
