Areas of Andorra
Choose an Andorran valley by access and season
The country is small, but elevation and road shape change quickly. Base the route on vehicle size, snow phase and authorised overnight capacity.

Main valley
Main valley: services, shopping and traffic
Andorra la Vella, Escaldes and Sant Julià provide the easiest supplies and public transport, but traffic and height-limited parking make advance planning useful.
Year-round with winter equipment
Plan for
- Use listed daytime and overnight places for their stated purpose.
- Avoid central parking structures without checking height.
- Expect weekend and ski-changeover congestion.
Useful bases
- Authorised Andorra la Vella facilities
- Sant Julià de Lòria
- Public transport for central shopping

High valleys
High valleys: snow, gradients and limited space
Ordino, La Massana, Canillo, Encamp and Pas de la Casa have colder conditions and tighter roads. Confirm overnight status and access before climbing.
Summer, or winter with full preparation
Plan for
- Check snow phase and closures immediately before departure.
- Do not depend on ski parking for an overnight stay.
- Long vehicles need confirmed turning and parking space.
Useful bases
- Authorised valley campsites
- Listed motorhome stay areas
- Lower stops before severe weather
