Andorra la Vella, Escaldes and the main valley have large supermarkets and long shopping hours. Choice falls quickly in smaller high settlements, especially outside the ski season. Restock before driving to a remote authorised night stop.
Check branch hours around public holidays and seasonal closures. Gas cylinders and regulators are not universally interchangeable, so do not assume an Andorran supplier can exchange a bottle from another national system.
Where to shop
- Best value: River Centre Comercial for competitive large-basket prices.
- Full range: Pyrénées Andorra for the broadest range.
- Camper access: River and larger E.Leclerc branches have the easiest parking.
Practical restocking
- Buy food and drinking water in the main valley before heading higher.
- Carry enough supplies for weather delays.
- Confirm gas-bottle compatibility before depending on a local exchange.
Eating out
- Catalan is the official language, while Spanish and French are widely understood.
- Ask what a fixed menu includes before ordering.
- Tipping is optional and modest.
